THE IDEOLOGY
Luxury timepieces can be very rare and only existing in very limited numbers. Most of the time we wouldn’t be able to have access to shoot the actual timepieces and can only use press images provided, however, I have never allowed this to hinder my quest to create creative watch imagery.
Every watch shoot that I have been commissioned to work on is uniquely different and special, the ideas and concepts I come up with can sometimes get pretty wild, often driving my team mates crazy. Many stylists may find still-life watch styling to be a little dull compared to fashion styling, but not for me, I enjoy working with timepieces greatly, as every watch has it’s own story to tell. Take a look closely into it’s details and you will find the amount of considerations and efforts watch designers and watch makers have put into these tiny wrist machines.
Here’s a selection of some of the still life watch photography works I have conceptualised and/or styled for, from the pages of various magazines.
